The Sound of Stillness: Sound Healing x The Love Assembly

Updated: 3 minutes ago

We sat down with Aubrey from The Love Assembly aka Capybara Bathhouse’s new Sound Healer—here to guide you through a journey of sound, stillness, and a full sensory experience.

MEET AUBREY

Aubrey’s path to sound healing didn’t start with chimes and singing bowls—it began with movement. Travel was her first teacher. From solo journeys across the world to working with international brands like Conde Nast Traveler and Tourism Australia, she explored how different cultures connect to wellness. Over time, her focus shifted from external adventure to internal exploration.

Now, as a Certified Holistic Life & Success Coach, best-selling author, and energy healer, she helps others find alignment through her signature SELF Methodology.

Sound healing is one of her most powerful tools.

BUT WHAT IS SOUND HEALING?

A practice rooted in ancient wisdom, it’s a way to tune the body and mind, using vibration to guide us into a deeply relaxed, meditative state. The experience is both simple and profound: you lie down, close your eyes, and let the sounds wash over you.

Through resonant vibrations, it taps into your nervous system’s natural ability to shift between states of activation and deep relaxation. Think of it as meditation’s sensory-rich cousin—effortless to receive yet profound in its effects.

WHY SOUND HEALING?

Sound moves through us, shaping the way we feel. By immersing yourself in healing frequencies, you can:

  • Soothe the nervous system

  • Release stored tension

  • Deepen states of relaxation

  • Heighten sensory awareness

  • Shift energy and emotions

SOUND HEALING MEETS BATHING

Come with Aubrey on a journey through light and dark, showing how sound weaves through the bathhouse—turning it into a fully immersive, multi-sensory experience.

A SENSORY JOURNEY

From the shadowed candle lit calm of the steam room to the soft glow of the lounge, each space is designed to deepen the experience.

Aubrey will guide you through the ebb and flow of sound, creating a full-body listening experience that invites restoration. It’s not music, and it’s not just meditation—it’s something in between. The tones and vibrations from chimes, gongs, and singing bowls bypass the thinking mind, slowing brain waves and inviting the body into a state of deep relaxation.

Some describe it as a dreamlike drift; others as a quiet unveiling of buried emotions. Whatever arises, the sound holds space for it all.

THE EXPERIENCE

Each session starts with guests lying down on yoga mats or our comfy lounge cushions. You will be offered an robe and towel to place over your eyes and fully settle in. From there, it’s simple: listen, feel, and let go.

As the sound unfolds, you might notice a gentle hum moving through your body, a shift in your breath, or even unexpected emotions bubbling up. Some guests feel an overwhelming sense of calm; others experience release in the form of laughter, tears, or deep stillness.

Sound healing isn’t about achieving a perfect meditative state. It’s about letting the vibrations do their work, trusting that whatever you experience is exactly what you need.
